A Little About the Office

At NJ MED PA, our team of experienced Board Certified Internal Medicine specialists and Physician Assistants are dedicated to providing exceptional care to our patients. With a focus on personalized and comprehensive treatment, we strive to ensure the best possible outcomes for all of our patients. We understand that the quality of medical care you receive is not only dependent on the doctors but also on the entire staff. That's why our office has a friendly and welcoming staff, including our providers: Dr. Michael R. Zaboski, MD FACP, Dr. Jean C. Pattathil, MD, Swati Patel PA-C, Erika Mayer PA-C, and Taylor Morris PA-C.

We are also staffed with our office manager, Vivian Shaughnessy, secretary Katherine Lemus, and highly-skilled medical assistant and front desk staff: Eileen, Maria, Taylor, and Devin. We aim to create a patient-centric environment and make you feel comfortable each time you visit our office.

Internal Medicine Physician

Dr. Michael R. Zaboski, MD, FACP

Dr. Zaboski is a Board Certified internist in Internal Medicine. He is from West Wyoming, Pennsylvania, where he graduated with a Biology and Philosophy degree from the University of Scranton. At Scranton he received the Mann Award for outstanding service to the University. He attended St. George’s School of Medicine, moved to New Jersey in 1987 after graduating, and started his Residency in Internal Medicine. He completed his Residency at Seton Hall University, through St Elizabeth Hospital, where he then joined Dr. William McHugh, and formed NJMED in 1990. Dr. Zaboski was elected President of the Medical Staff of St. Elizabeth Hospital, and then Trinitas Hospital after the local hospitals merged. He attended a mini-Fellowship at the New England Headache Center, and developed expertise in advanced headache management. Since then the practice has grown; Dr Pattathil joined in 2000, and we have added three PA’s since then–Swati, Erika and Taylor.

Dr. Zaboski has specialized expertise in Headache management and he is an Emergency Room physician. Dr. Zaboski was inducted into the American College of Physicians as a Fellow, one of its highest honors. He has four children, and stays in shape as a Foil fencer in his free time.

Internal Medicine Physician

Dr. Jean Pattathil, MD

Dr. Pattathil is a Board Certified physician in Internal Medicine and has been in practice for over 20 years. She graduated from Stanley Medical College, India and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Seton Hall University. She then joined the NJ Med team and has stayed on.

She is a compassionate doctor with attention to detail. She enjoys building long-term relationships with her patients and their families, advocating for both. Her training has been particularly helpful in diagnosing and treating tropical illnesses.

Dr. Pattathil is married with 3 children. She enjoys traveling, Indian classical dance and practices yoga for a healthy body and mind.

Physician Assistant

Swati Patel PA-C

Swati Patel, PA-C, MHS is a board-certified by National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants with 8 years experience as a Primary Care Provider. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology and a Master’s degree in Health Sciences focusing on Physician Assistant studies. She completed her training at Drexel University in 2014. Her professional interests include adult medicine and chronic diseases. Swati is a member of American Academy of Physician Assistants and American Academy of Family Physicians. In her leisure time, Swati enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and reading.

Phyisican Assistant

Erika Mayer PA-C

Erika Mayer is a board-certified physician assistant specializing in Internal Medicine/Primary Care. She earned her Masters of Science at Seton Hall University in 2018 after completing her undergraduate degree of Bachelor of Science in Biology. She focuses on individualized and preventative care for all her patients. Erika is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and is certified by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, hiking, traveling, and visiting local restaurants.

Physician Assistant

Taylor Morris PA-C

Taylor M. Morris, MS, PA-C is a board-certified Physician Assistant specializing in Internal Medicine. She completed her Bachelor's degree in Biology in 2020 and her Master's degree of Physician Assistant studies in 2022, both at Seton Hall University. She is knowledgeable in adult medicine, addiction management, and wound care treatment. She strives for compassionate, patient-centered care for all of her patients. In her free time she enjoys traveling, going to the beach, and spending time with family, friends, and of course her cats.

Office Manager

Vivian Shaughnessy

Vivian has been part of the NJ MED PA family for over 20 years. With her bright smile and witty personality she is sure to get your needs met and accomplished. In addition to her role as office manager, Vivian is our medical biller, medical records, and prior authorization specialist. With all her different jobs, she makes sure NJ MED is running smoothly on a daily basis.

Receptionist

Katherine Lemus

Katherine has been working at NJ MED PA for over three years as our phone receptionist (because full time multitasker is not an actual job title). She provides our patients with office information, medication refills, referrals, as well as taking messages and returning call-backs to patients as necessary. Katherine also helps schedule and/or cancel new and existing patient appointments. With her welcoming, friendly and positive attitude, both in person and on the phone, she aims to provide the best service to all our patients!

Medical Assistant

Maria Amador

Maria is NJ MED PA’s certified medical assistant. She has been with us for over 10 years and helps keep our office running on time. Maria is always available to answer any questions and make sure our patients are happy and healthy. From taking vitals to making sure all your immunizations’ are up to date she is sure to provide you with excellent care!

Medical Assistant

Eileen Quinones

Eileen is our front desk and also a medical assistant. She has been with us for 10 years and provides our daily comedy. If she isn’t at our front desk checking you in, she is welcoming you into our office for your medical care. For all your test result needs, Eileen has you covered; with a welcoming smile, she will make you feel right at home.

Medical Assistant

Taylor Greblowski

Taylor is one of our medical assistants and newest members to join our NJ MEDPA family. Her kind and compassionate nature fits right in and she will be sure to put you at ease and feel comfortable as she provides you with the necessary testings we provide in our office. Taylor is also in charge of the prior authorizations for your medications and managing medical records. She strives to make all patients feel welcome and loves getting to know every single one.
